Zillow is seeking an experienced Photo Editor to join its growing production team to bring the Zillow brand to life through visual stories. The Production team includes producers, film and photo editors that develop and execute the vision of creative concepts that ladder up to Zillow’s overall marketing strategy. We’re passionate about the customer journey. This position works closely with the creative team, photo lead, designers, writers and other departments to imagine and produce engaging, original and on-brand solutions for our advertising, social campaigns and unique digital experiences.
This role requires collaborative experience that will inspire the team to be self starters and will support a multitude of projects without losing sight of the big creative picture or the smallest detail. In an agency environment, you'll be a key player to bring to life the kind of innovative, impactful and memorable cross-channel visual stories that will inspire our audience. We are growing fast and need inspiring collaborators who will jump in and pull off the creativity we need to be successful in our newly formed in-house agency.
Curate imagery to fill a range of marketing and design needs.
Consistently deliver on-brand imagery, often under tight deadlines
Assess images for legal and copyright compliance
Retouch and edit photographs according to Zillow brand specifications
Source engaging UGC content to be used across Zillow’s social channels
In-depth photo research drawing on stock as well as licensed imagery
Work within various asset management tools and systems to ensure team workflow optimization
Review photography from external shoots, considering aesthetic look and feel as well as sequencing and narrative aligning to Zillow’s brand guidelines
Collaborate on selection of photographers, photo shoot planning and execution
Collaborate on Image library development from image selection to metadata and organization
This role has been categorized as a Hybrid position. “Hybrid” employees regularly work at an existing ZG corporate office for approximately 10 to 80 percent of their time each month, and the rest of the time they may work from a remote physical location of their choice within a reasonable commuting distance from the corporate office which must be identified to the Company in advance. The Recruiter and Hiring Manager will set expectations on the employee’s preferred time in office. ZG has not defined a reasonable distance, and expects employees will use judgment in determining this for themselves and understand the implications re: time commitment and cost of daily commute.
Who you are
At least 3-5 years of photo-editing experience with a consumer brand, top editorial publication or advertising agency.
A passion for photography and a keen eye for curating imagery that is fresh and inspiring.
Skilled in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom with strong retouching and color correction skills
A passionate storyteller
Knowledge of contracts, usage rights, photo licensing and copyright laws
A great communicator across all levels of the organization — from individual contributors to executive staff
A self-motivated and positive person that collaborates well with others while also being comfortable working independently.

Understand the photography industry including photo production, retouching, and digital asset management and workflow.
Demonstrates experience and passion for real estate, buyers and sellers, communities and cities is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts or Communication Design or similar field
