You’re in an early stage of your career and are excited about what’s possible. You’ve got an outstanding foundation in the craft of design and a growing knowledge of design systems. You’re efficient with your time, know your way around the latest design software and tools, and are familiar with the day-to-day operations of a design studio. You can’t wait to merge your growing knowledge of design principles with your love for culture, fashion, and sports. You can balance multiple projects and welcome feedback and direction from senior team members. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You’ll focus on consumer led global retail concepts, global stores, seasonal retail initiatives and the evolution of the Jordan retail business. Under the direction of a Design Director, you will collaborate in the design and development of innovative and original retail environments globally that reflect Jordan Brand’s design ethos and enhance the consumer retail experience. You will create original retail store design solutions and develop concepts that support retail business plans. You’ll design in collaboration with the design team or independently, to complete the most technically challenging and creative individual projects. Across Jordan Design, you'll help craft all aspects of the look and feel of the brand at retail.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will report directly to the Jordan Retail Design – Design Director, while regularly partnering with other design and cross-functional team members including Jordan Direct Studio, Retail Concepts, One Creative Studio, Stores Marketing, Footwear and Apparel Designers, and Brand Managers.
WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design or environmental design.
Minimum 5 years of experience.
Retail design industry / environments experience preferred.
Experience crafting holistic retail environments inclusive of architecture, fixtures, furniture, storytelling, and art.
Knowledge of end to end design processes and construction.
High degree of expertise with applicable computer programs and applications.
Strong oral and written communications and presentation skills.
Ability to effectively communicate and share concepts/design intent with creative team.
Ability to source, screen and manage contractors/external vendors including design and production studios/agencies.
Proven ability to develop influential and collaborative relationships across teams, functions, and geographies.
Experience building relevant concept presentations, and mood boards for seasonal concepts and direction.
Familiarity with current trends, color, design, art, photography, experience, and architectural design.
Attention to detail and meticulous organizational skills in service of your creative projects.
Expertise in 3D modeling programs and rendering capabilities a must.
Deep experience in Adobe programs including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Keynote.
