Designer, Brand Environments - VANS (Costa Mesa, CA)
Vans is seeking a Designer of Brand Environments to join their team in Costa Mesa, CA. As a Designer on the Brand Environments team you will be responsible for designing in-store seasonal storytelling elements, such as Window Displays, Product Marketing Displays, and other POP/In-Store Materials. You will also be responsible for designing Retail and Wholesale stores as well as brand spaces such as House of Vans and other Pop-Up events.

The Ideal Candidate
You are a multi-disciplinary designer with a strong appetite to learn new skills and experiment with innovative techniques and design platforms. You already have strong 3D spatial design skills as well as 2D graphic design skills, but you are familiar with Motion Graphics, AR/VR, 3D Rendering, Unity/Unreal Game Engine design, and/or UX/UI design. You are a collaborative, team player and are excited to work in conjunction with a team of Designers and Creative Directors. Most of all, you are passionate about design and looking for a role where you can be creative and try new things.
How You Will Make a Difference
What you will do:
You will concept, design, and visualize in-store seasonal storytelling displays as well as brand environments such as Retail, Wholesale stores and other brand spaces. You will collaborate with other Environmental Designers as well as Art Directors and Digital Designers from other cross-functional teams. You will contribute creative and innovative ideas in brainstorming sessions and workshops.

You will collect and present your ideas through clear and concise design presentations. You will deliver projects according to timelines, feedback, and budget.

You will create and develop best-in-class brand environments and experiences for the Global and North America regions.

Skills for Success
Years of Related Professional Experience: 3-5 years
Educational Position Requirements:
A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
What we expect you already know:
Ability to use 2D/3D software, including Sketchup, Layout, AutoCAD, KeyShot, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Keynote. Sketchup proficiency preferred.
Some knowledge familiarity with the following: Art Direction, Graphic Design, Typography & Branding, Digital Experiences (AR/VR, etc.), Fabrication & Construction, Motion Graphics, 3D Rendering, Unity/Unreal Game Engine design, and/or UX/UI design.
Strong verbal and visual presentation skills.
