Client Partner - Rootstrap (Remote)
We're looking for an experienced and dynamic Client Partner with expertise in selling digital transformation and product development services to enterprise customers. The person in this role will be responsible for owning, nurturing, and growing relationships with both new and existing clients. Successful Client Partners should be comfortable leading a sales process, and will be expected to navigate complex business relationships with influence. In this role, you will routinely collaborate with various technology and operational disciplines and personalities including business leaders, software engineers, product experts, and creatives.
What are the main responsibilities of this role?
Curate and maintain an active pipeline of opportunities and consistently evaluate the pipeline against financial goals and targets to prioritize hunting vs. farming activities.
End-to-end ownership of the sales process including prospecting, messaging, pitch/presentation materials, conversation management, account planning, contracting, CRM operations, etc.
Continuously develop your personal network of industry contacts and influencers as a source for market intelligence, referrals, and prospects.
Architect and drive sales strategy with responsibility for each new opportunity and the associated pursuit plan.
Develop and own the strategy and action plan for expanding our relationship with each assigned client.
Focus on building relationships with current stakeholders while seeking new buyer opportunities within enterprise clients.
Lead client interactions with a consultative approach harnessing an informative solution selling approach.
Continuously develop an understanding of industry trends, needs, best practices, and technologies as they relate to our positioning within those industries.
Identify and attend conferences and networking events, documenting activities for use in marketing and sales activities.
Spearhead the orchestration of proposal efforts, holding the team to high accountability standards.
Leverage and collaborate with team members across Rootstrap departments to successfully drive sales pursuits.
Meet or exceed financial goals.
Manage escalation points for clients on delivery issues or overall account issues.
Attend periodic onsite meetings with the intention of building relationships, identifying opportunities, guiding engagement delivery, and identifying risks.
Which skills and experience do we envision for this role?
2-7 years of experience selling digital transformation and product development solutions to enterprise customers. Specific experience with nearshore delivery models is a plus.
Proven track record of successfully hunting and selling into new accounts, as well as a measurable history of farming/driving growth in existing accounts.
History of meeting / exceeding sales quota
The capability of building and growing pipeline through effective outbound prospecting activity.
A consultative, growth-focused mindset with the ability to develop deep relationships and provide long-term value to customer business.
Proficiency in sales and business acumen, pipeline management, customer relations, negotiation, opportunity identification and qualification, conflict and negotiation management/resolution.
Social and communication skills with a proven ability to engage with the C suite.
Ability to lead seamlessly in a multi-faceted, multi-national team environment with unique personalities, cultural differences, and varying backgrounds.
Understanding of product development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Scrum).
Willing to travel up to 50%
