Community Engagement Manager - Chief (Remote)

The base salary for this role is: $110,000

The Community Engagement Manager is a member-facing role instrumental in developing and facilitating programming that drives member connections. This role will contribute to improving existing community offerings, identifying opportunities or gaps across the member community, developing strategies or solutions to scale the 17,000 member community.

This role will report directly to the Director of Member Engagement and will work in close collaboration with our programming team, partnerships team, space ops team, and product team to provide best-in-class community experience to members.

What you’ll do: 

  • Develop, refine, and iterate on an in person event strategy with the goal of driving local member connections and building a member’s community across a variety of indicators, and ultimately driving member retention

  • Create programming and facilitate content for in person event strategy

  • Partner with broader community team to provide the tools, resources, and logistical support to activate member-led in-person community initiatives at scale 

  • Collaborate with the partnerships team to execute on community partner events in our key metro areas 

  • Provide occasional support to the Community Events Manager to program and host virtual community events, on Zoom 

  • Keep your finger on the pulse for in-person, member-led meetups to identify proactive opportunities for support and moments for surprise and delight 

  • Identify data and KPIs to make strategic decisions about community events and member engagement 

  • Liaise with product team to enhance digital presence at in person events 

  • Collaborate on broader community strategic initiatives and provide thought partnership and input on community engagement

What you’ve done and enjoy doing:

  • Role is remote eligible, East Coast preferred based on travel requirements 

  • Travel 1-3 times per month

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask.

  • Strong event and project and budget management expertise with experience running events from ideation through execution.

  • Creative thinker and problem solver—always looking beyond the available options when up against roadblocks and unafraid to negotiate.

  • Strong experiential acumen—you know how to create and produce thoughtful, engaging events that deliver against strategic objectives and are tailored for the intended audience.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to cross-functionally collaborate to execute projects, including with those who may be remote.

  • You remain calm under pressure while having a great in person/virtual presence.

  • Work with a "no task too big, no task too small” attitude

  • Experience learning and navigating within a high-growth and fast paced environment

  • Able to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 40 lbs
