Design Manager - Better Place Forests (Remote)
Better Places Forests is seeking a Design Manager with an architectural background to join their team! The Design Manager will support Forest design projects and initiatives. These include a broad range of scales and scopes, from physical product design through master planning of the forest.

The Designer will develop design content, including drawings and renderings, that will allow us to clearly communicate design concepts, progressive development and architectural drawings to internal teams and contractors. Drawings are a valuable tool for communicating ideas and this role involves being able to communicate ideas that are in early development all the way through to more developed projects.
Impact
Develop and manage thoughtful design concepts and communicate these clearly to our partners
Support the ongoing development of active design projects
You will
Work closely with Head of Forest Design to develop concepts and presentations
Generate design content across various mediums including design research documents, diagrams, orthographic drawings, renderings, and other general design production tasks
Produce supporting documents and presentations to communicate design concepts to internal partners
Partner with other Real Estate/Development/Forest Experience team members to define project parameters and ensure projects goals are aligned
Manage outside consultants as necessary

You have
Professional experience in design; specific experience or aptitude in concept design phase required
A background in architecture, product design, or related design field
Proficiency working in design documentation and 2D/3D visual communication software including Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator), Rhino, AutoCAD, Revit, VRay, Bluebeam
Project communication (Slack, Zoom)
Knowledge of GIS and Fusion beneficial but not required
