Brand Designer, Nike Virtual Studios - Nike (NYC or LA)

Nike Virtual Studios is looking for a Brand Designer to help design impactful internal presentations, customer-facing education and onboarding experiences, and social community content that communicates the vision for our web3, Metaverse, and NFT space to our creator and collector community.

In this role, you will work alongside an entrepreneurial team of designers, product leaders, engineers, and data scientists to design inclusive, immersive, and thought-provoking content and experiences for our internal stakeholder teams, community members, and untapped audiences.

The ideal candidate is a bold and open-minded visual brand designer with strong design and animation skills, as well as the ability to tell compelling stories. Responsible for exploration of concept, development and execution of slide designs, education and onboarding experiences, and social community content. You display an interest in the inner workings of web3, Metaverse, blockchain, and NFT technologies and believe in building the future of an inclusive platform!


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-  Serve as the lead visual designer and creative storyteller for the Nike Virtual Studios brand 

-  Create premier Keynote and Figma decks for executive review and internal/external audiences that reflect Nike Virtual Studios status as a best-in-class brand

-  Work collaboratively with other designers, writers, cross-functional producers, senior creatives, and Nike Virtual Studios’ leadership team

-  Develop story-driven, forward-thinking ideas to help tell compelling stories

-  Create assets that cover real-time trends to animate and cut content together to build compelling storylines 

-  Own the execution of design for organic/paid social media across all channels

What you bring

  • 3+ years experience in the creative and design field with an educational background in graphic design, motion graphics, or other related fields

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Design or related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training

  • Exceptional creativity in concept development and problem solving

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong understanding of design fundamentals such as typography, motion, color, and spatial hierarchies

  • Mastery of Keynote, PowerPoint, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, and Figma

  • Understanding of the latest Keynote and PowerPoint trends and designs and can add visuals, charts, and graphics to create presentations that capture the audience’s attention

  • Experience creating presentations and brand content for clients in the sports, music, entertainment or tech industry

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Proactive, self-motivated and adaptable to a dynamic and fast-paced team

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

  • Ability to develop creative solutions and designs under tight schedules

  • Ability to consistently uphold brand and style guidelines, and communicate and potentially teach these standards to others internally

  • Ability to thrive in a start-up environment and quickly shift and adapt to an evolving industry

  • Passion for sport, culture, and the Nike brand, as well as gaming, web3, blockchain, NFT, and Metaverse design philosophies

  • Must provide link to portfolio that demonstrates strong concepts and execution

This role will be based out of Los Angeles, CA or New York City, NY.
