The role:

Hi, I'm Kelly Hannon, and I'm the Chief Merchandising Officer at Mejuri, currently seeking an exceptional Director to lead our Visual Merchandising team.

As the Director of Visual Merchandising, you will lead all aspects of building & scaling Mejuri's Visual Merchandising strategy aimed at an exceptional customer experience. This leader will be a daily thought partner to the Merchandising, Retail Operations & Marketing teams to ensure visual standards are consistent across the fleet while delivering a bespoke customer experience by market.

What you'll do:

  • Build Mejuri's foundational, scalable, brand enhancing VM strategy rooted in an inspiring customer experience & revenue targets

  • Work cross functionally as a collaborative partner to gain awareness of the larger brand scope, provide insight on visual projects and identify how VM can enhance & contribute.

  • Build, lead & develop the Mejuri visual merchandising team with a mission to deliver best in class VM with consistency across all locations

  • Relentlessly seeking & curious around customer insights as a lever to optimize product placement strategies

  • Develop & communicate Mejuri VM Standards & Guidelines to cascade consistency across the network

  • Lead field VM training cadence across the fleet

  • Collaborate with Merchandising, Retail Operations & Marketing to build fluid testing model - test, learn, pivot, refine

  • Partner with Merchandising, Marketing & Creative on window concepts & own implementation

  • Collaborate w Store Design across fixturing & signage development, testing & commitments

  • Partner with Store Design to plan & execute all new stores openings on time & on budget

  • Know the business & the market deeply as a path to deliver a leading customer retail journey

  • A clever, high energy, self starter that gracefully balances ingenuity with practical application

  • A gifted product stylist with the proven ability to lead VM teams optimistically through multiple & shifting priorities to deliver results

What you bring to the team:

  • 10+ years of proven experience in Retail Visual Merchandising with detailed knowledge of fashion & retail

  • Excellent communication & presentation skills with a passion for innovation, creativity, and the ability to deliver with a standard of excellence.

  • A hands-on problem solver with a willingness to work in the details and find opportunities to change process to drive efficiencies.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to change and new processes.

  • Ability to lead & driver large scale projects across a large number of locations simultaneously

  • Ability to work collaboratively across varied cross functional teams.

  • Proven track record in building best in class teams & processes in a high growth environment.

  • Ability to travel often & internationally .

  • A strong task juggler that models calm under pressure for the team.

  • An analytical thinker with borderline neurotic attention to detail.

  • A resourceful self-starter with a "can-do" attitude and a "building" mindset.

Looking for the perfect next opportunity is a big decision. Mejuri recognizes the importance of pay transparency when it comes to salary ranges as it empowers individuals through the hiring process and supports them in making an informed decision. This role will be for our New York office, with a base salary range of $150,000-$175,000 per year based on a candidate's experience and qualifications.
