BRAND DESIGNER - TOME (SAN FRANSISCO, CA)

As a Brand Designer at Tome, you will dedicate your knowledge and craft to create visually compelling campaigns, content, systems, and experiences for a brand helping millions of storytellers share their ideas.

Alongside members of the brand, marketing, and product teams, you will help shape and define Tome’s brand—from visual identity elements, brand strategy, campaign expressions, and more. As a lover of detail, you will execute all aspects of a project at the highest level of precision and care. Compensation Range: $160,000 - $200,000/year + equity & benefits

You possess a powerful foundation in the core areas of visual design—including color, typography, image, and composition—and are equally skilled in collaborating with specialists such as motion designers, developers, 3D artists, photographers and more. You are well versed in a wide spectrum of visual trends and understand how to apply that knowledge in combination with good design principles. You are accustomed to working at a fast pace and have a resilient approach to solving tough creative problems.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Craft visually compelling campaigns, content, experiences, and systems for the Tome brand across social media, tome.app website, email, press, editorial, partnerships, in-product experiences and more

  • Evolve Tome's visual identity in collaboration with other members of the brand, marketing, and product teams

  • Help cultivate a vibrant community through visual storytelling across Tome’s social media and community channels

  • Develop templates, educational, and onboarding materials to help people learn how to use Tome and inspire them with new ways of using it

  • Commission and partner with motion designers, 3D artists, photographers, developers, writers, strategists, marketers, and external agency partners



WHO YOU ARE

  • Bachelor/Master's degree in Design or related field, or equivalent experience

  • You have 5+ years of experience in graphic design, and are able to use type, color, image, and composition to create emotional impact.

  • You have experience working with visual design systems across many brand touchpoints

  • You have experience working closely with and leading other specialists including, but not limited to, motion designers, 3D artists, photographers, developers, writers, strategists, marketers, and external agency partners

  • You have a passion for current trends in design, technology, culture, and visual arts

  • You are comfortable learning new tools and skills to be able to work on projects you may not have much prior experience with
