Responsibilities
Page is seeking a qualified Sustainability Specialist to join our team in our Washington DC. The position will provide sustainable consulting services within the firm, primarily for projects seeking certification through LEED, Guiding Principles and Green Globes for our civic and government projects. This position can also help develop processes, QAQC guidance, specifications, and help improve standards.
This position will work directly with our Building Sciences team which is an integrated bridge between architecture and engineering to create higher performing, healthier, and more resilient buildings. We are a firm wide resource responsible for elevating the discussion of performance and sustainability for all of our projects and measuring results to help quantify how we’re fulfilling our vision of “design that makes lives better.”
Responsibilities:
Coordinate sustainability project management and 3rd party certification efforts.
Prepare, maintain, and submit green building certification documentation.
Research and present green building strategies and analyses to clients and design teams.
Maintain knowledge of state and federal regulations and relevant professional standards and keep abreast of the latest advancements and strategies around holistic sustainable solutions.
Help track and maintain project/design data required for 2030 Commitment reporting, AIA Honor Awards, and other industry recognition programs.
Help develop processes, QAQC guidance, specifications, and help improve standards.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the ability to evaluate complex projects for compliance with sustainability program goals and performance goals.
Degree in engineering, architecture or related sustainability field with 2-5 years of relevant professional experience.
LEED Accreditation with specialty with a minimum of two years' experience managing sustainability certification processes and working with LEED online.
Knowledge of multiple certification systems and Federal High-Performance Requirements and mandates preferred.
Detail oriented and organized with proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Clear written communication and ability to effectively manage action item and follow up with others.
Available for occasional travel within the US.
