Rockstar Games is seeking a Digital Designer to be based in our NYC headquarters.
The ideal candidate is a multi-disciplinary designer with very strong design skills and a deep understanding of the advantages and limitations of digital media to create experiences that are cutting-edge, aesthetically stunning, user-friendly, and highly functional. This person will collaborate with other designers, developers, and producers across departments, and enjoy working in a fast-paced work environment with an attention to detail and innovative thinking. $88,500—$113,800 USD

WHAT WE DO
The Rockstar Games Newswire team is responsible for creating and updating the official online destination for Rockstar Games announcements and updates, trailer launches, events and other Rockstar news.
Our Digital Designers drive the design, usability and evolution of our customer-facing websites.
We support our employees with a culture of career development, safety, and inclusion.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Concept, design and help implement new features and improvements to Rockstar Newswire and Rockstargames.com.
Design editorial-focused UI components to support a wide range of content requirements and theming.
Build and maintain a component library for building and publishing weekly updates from an internal CMS.
Translate product goals, business requirements, marketing objectives, and user insights into informative, engaging, well-designed web experiences.
Partner with Engineers to bring designs to life, keeping technical constraints top of mind throughout your design process and helping to work through issues as they arise.
Design brand identities, logos, and visual elements that align with Rockstar’s brand guidelines.
Ensure design adheres to WCAG/ADA website accessibility standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
2-5 years of experience designing for large-scale, customer-facing websites, ideally within publishing or entertainment.
Experience building and maintaining shared component libraries in Figma.
Experience creating UI designs, components, user flows and documentation with a high level of craft and keen eye for detail.
Solid foundation and understanding of UX methodology and user-centered design, and accessibility/inclusivity best practices.
SKILLS
Proficient in modern design and prototyping tools (Figma, FigJam, Principle, Framer, Adobe CC).
Refined visual design skills and sensibility.
Understanding of responsive web best practices, capabilities, and limitations.
Experience or strong interest in graphic design, motion design, typography and color theory.
PLUSES

Design-related BA/BFA.
A solid understanding of Rockstar as a brand and our games.
Frontend development experience (HTML/CSS/JavaScript).
A love of video games, film, and entertainment.

The pay range for this position in New York State (inclusive of New York City) at the start of employment is expected to be between the range below* per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
