Global Real Estate and Workplace Experience (GREWE) is a global team at American Express (Amex) responsible for the full lifecycle of planning, execution, and operations of Amex real estate. GREWE supports over 65,000 Amex colleagues and contractors in over eight million square feet of property located in 41 countries. Our real estate portfolio consists of large full-service campuses, office buildings, sales offices. Overview
Management of Design & Construction Projects focusing on Interior Office. The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in process optimization, and vendor management. This position reports to the Vice President of Global Design & Construction.
Roles & Responsibilities
Project Management:
Plan and organize the appropriate internal and external resources Establish realistic and complete budgets and schedules.
Communicate requirements to local and hired consultants for implementation.
Lead local teams. Specifically confirm that the fundamentals of project delivery are implemented.
Partner closely with stakeholders and end-users in technologies, security, and transactions management.
Process Optimization and communication:
Implement processes for project managers and project coordinators to follow that adhere to Amex standards.
Guide the projects through external stakeholders’ processes as well as American Express’ internal due diligence and compliance processes. Anticipate regulatory and approval processes as well as critical path workflow to ensure positive project momentum.
Ensure the consultant partners deliver, are responsive, and comply with program, applicable guidelines, codes, and standards. meet established schedule, and budget targets. Helping managers to think strategically.
Facilitating communication, leading prioritization, and providing frameworks to support the project and to further on a continual basis train and coach our colleagues as necessary.
Applying the knowledge of specific requirements of the Owner as a Bank.
Control & Compliance:
Document and communicate on governance and accountability for projects.
Implement protocols to maintain consistency, compliance, and efficiency to ensure projects are completed in accordance with all audit and Amex requirements.
Focus on quality control, cost, and schedule targets.
Own reporting on the state of the Projects and ensure critical dates and budgets are adhered to.
The Director will be a main driver of procedural processes and compliance controls.

Ensure compliance with project performance goals, as well as generating a variety of flexible yet standard documents that can be used as a basis to maintain proper project control for other project managers. Report on the state of the Projects and ensure critical dates and budgets are adhered to.
Minimum Qualifications:
Management of service agreements and contracts with professional services vendors.
Familiarity with the various contracting models for delivery of design and construction projects.
Understanding of regulatory and approval processes.
Scheduling: critical path workflow to ensure positive project momentum.
Salary Range:
$130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
