Salary:

$80,000/yr - $120,000/yr

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Project Manager who will oversee all Gentle Monster’s construction related activities and projects, including managing the construction of new retail spaces and maintenance of our existing stores. The role will be responsible for overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The successful applicant will have a deep understanding of construction site management and possess a strong ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders to achieve project goals.


Key Responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, track progress, and manage costs effectively.

  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes.

  • Communicate regularly with the executive and design teams to report progress and address any issues.

  • Resolve any construction-related challenges on-site to maintain project timelines.


New Store Construction:

  • Manage all phases of the construction process, from initial concept through to store opening, ensuring alignment with brand standards and design intent.

  • Supervise the selection of contractors, architects, vendors, and monitor their work to ensure the project remains on schedule and within budget.

  • Handle on-site construction management for the new store opening, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.


Store Maintenance & Upkeep:

  • Oversee and manage maintenance issues across our existing stores to ensure operational efficiency.

  • Coordinate and liaise with third-party vendors and contractors to resolve maintenance issues in a timely and cost-effective manner.

  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to maintain store standards.


Cross-Team Collaboration:

  • Act as the key point of contact between U.S. operations and the design team in Korea to ensure seamless communication.

  • Ensure all team members and stakeholders are updated regularly on project milestones and changes.

  • Travel oversea as required to oversee the construction of new stores.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in construction management, preferably in the retail or commercial sector.

  • Proven track record in managing maintenance and new construction projects.

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements (building codes, permits, safety regulations).

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Experience with international projects and working with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to travel internationally (specifically to Canada) as required.


Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in project management software and tolls (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD).

  • Bilingual in Korean and English is a plus.
