Brief Description
The position requires a high degree of interaction with clients, preconstruction and estimating personnel, project executives, project managers, project engineers, and superintendents throughout the company. The position reports and works under the day-to-day supervision of the BIM department head.
The VDC Manager understands planning and technical attributes of construction and integrates meaningful information with advanced BIM applications which may include 3D laser-scanning, Coordination, Model-based estimating, 4D construction project scheduling, 5D construction cost estimating, Model-based progress tracking, 3D model creation, usage and simulation related virtual design and construction solutions.

Requirements
Required Experience
A minimum of four (4) years of experience in building design and construction or experience implementing design and construction information technologies.
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
Required Qualifications
Software applications related to the BIM Engineer realm of knowledge and proficiency including Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit Architecture/MEP/Structure, Navisworks, Syncro, Autodesk Assemble.
Security Clearance
Qualified candidate will be TS security clearance eligible.

Preferred Skills
Ability to use and trouble shoot advanced VDC software and midlevel hardware. Knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, Laser scanner operation and analysis. Capable of managing your own time and communicating schedule to others. Skill of learning new software/hardware as need to perform job duties. Motivated to find solutions using VDC/BIM concepts and technology.
Summary
Responsibilities/Duties
Develop construction sequencing materials, simulations, and animations for use in pre-construction planning and business development efforts.
Perform model-based quantity takeoffs and constructability reviews for design and construction.
Develop ongoing model-based reporting, including overall schedule based 4D modeling and detailed sequence models to aid project teams in communicating construction activities.
Develop and maintain a BIM Quality Management Processes using laser scanning and progress photos
Perform and provide leadership to cost estimating from BIM models. Be subject matter expert for 4D and 5D BIM concepts.
Provides leadership on laser scanning processing and analysis.
Perform additional virtual construction tasks to support construction management duties, examples include supporting Jobsite Safety Program, Permitting, Production Planning efforts or Document Control.
Provide leadership and oversight to the technical flow of data with designers, multiple contractors and/or field personnel.
Clash coordination management as needed.
Attend and participate in industry events for company BIM Outreach when required.
Other duties as assigned.

Comprehensive benefits will be discussed during the recruitment process; base salaries will be determined by skills, position, education. experience, market consideration, and geographic location. The salary range for this role will be $110,000.00-$130,000.00.
