Environmental Graphics Designer - Pentagram (NYC, NY)

Pentagram’s New York office is seeking a full-time designer focused on environmental graphics to work on signage and exhibition design projects.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the Partner in collaboration with the Design Team to help develop projects from concept through implementation and support the design process at all stages

  • Work with the Project Manager to develop project schedules, deliverables, and contracts

  • Work independently through design details, lead coordination with Architects and sub-consultants, and be the day-to-day contact for clients on select projects

  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously in a collaborative environment 

  • Create full design documentation drawing sets and coordinate with Fabricators through the fabrication and installation process

  • The ability to develop sign location plans and message schedules is a plus

  • Knowledge of ADA accessibility standards and code signage requirements is a plus

Requirements

  • Proficient in Rhino and Adobe CC

  • Proficient in a rendering program (preferably Keyshot, C4D, and or Enscape) to generate renderings for concept presentations 

  • Strong typographic skills

  • Experience with exhibition detailing; including casework and integration of lighting and media components

  • Knowledge of fabrication techniques and material standards

  • 2–4 years’ experience in Graphic Design, Environmental Design, Architecture or related discipline in a similar role

  • Ability to travel

  • Work in-person 4 days a week in the New York office; WFH Fridays

Estimated Base Salary Range: $65,000–90,000. 
Actual compensation package is dependent on work experience, education, market data, and business needs.
