Experience Designer - Best Buy (Remote, MN)

About the job

As an Experience Designer, you’ll help achieve business objectives through the delivery of effective, user-centered design solutions. In this role, you’ll collaborate with product and engineering teams. You’ll ensure a comprehensive understanding of the end user, solution context and business objectives, contributing to both discovery and validation phases of design.

You’ll also work with teams who oversee customer support needs and the market approach for in-home services employees.

This role is remote eligible in Minnesota, which means you would work virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. You must be located within driving distance to our corporate campus in Richfield, Minnesota in the event that your presence is needed for critical team meetings.

Salary:

82,900 - 146,650


What You’ll Do

  • Apply insights from discovery processes as well as discipline methodologies and principles to solve business and user objectives in partnership with product partners

  • Develop sophisticated and intuitive designs that address end user needs while aligning with business goals

  • Drive human-centered design principles throughout all project stages, ensuring consistency with brand standards and upholding unified user experiences

  • Craft designs across key moments of the services journey, identifying key moments and opportunities for enhancement

  • Lead partnerships with research teams to ensure designs are grounded in real needs, advocating for data and research when necessary.

  • Identify gaps that may impact project success, applying insights from discovery processes to solve business and user objectives

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 2 or more years of experience as an Enterprise Experience Designer

  • 2 or more years of experience designing enterprise software

  • 2 or more years of experience working in ecommerce or other large, multi-channel environment.

  • Portfolio required for submission (online or PDF is acceptable)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in UX, design, or other design related area

  • 2 or more years of experience designing delivery management and order software

  • Experience in managing projects across multiple team environments, synthesizing research findings into actionable design initiatives and solutions

  • Experience using design tools such as Figma Comprehensive understanding of visual design fundamentals, including balance, color and hierarchy

  • Experience creating intuitive, user-friendly interfaces and experiences

  • Ability to leverage a variety of data and analytics sources to identify opportunities and guide design decisions

  • Strong communion skills, including articulating solutions to stakeholders

  • Ability to remain current with industry trends and best practices

  • Ability to formulate and prioritize research questions for discovery and conduct validation research
