Location: Nashville

JOB SUMMARY

As the Design Project Manager for Barcelona wine bar, you will drive design requirements of the assigned

projects within the Development Department from ideation to completion. We are looking for someone

who has a passion for design, and strives to make each project better than the last. Strong ability to work in

a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment is required, as is a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.

design through construction.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Job Description:

  • Manage assigned projects, job production and quality, and lead construction administration efforts.

  • Run Project Kick-Off meetings with internal department heads and consultants.

  • Manage weekly calls with AORs and consultants for specific projects.

  • Prepare, coordinate, and complete test fits in autocad.

  • Design and Build 3-D model for internal approvals

  • Create design presentations using Sketchup, Photoshop, and InDesign.

  • Prepare, coordinate, manage, and complete architectural interior drawings and details.

  • Specify FFE items and Prepare project specifications.

  • Review design materials and FFE for budget and lead time

  • Have a general knowledge of ADA and occupancy code as it applies to interior layout and requirements.

  • Conduct quality control review of construction documents and enforce guidelines.

  • Manage Design construction administration including responding to RFI’s, preparing sketches and

  • addendums as needed.

  • Be responsible for meeting project deadlines and budget constraints.

SKILLS &ABILITIES

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to manage a variety of projects at varying stages of development.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

  • Strong Design skills. Knowledge of retail/restaurant/hospitality design industry trends and best practices

  • Ability to travel to sites as needed. Up to 20%.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years experience designing hospitality/retail/restaurant projects.

  • Minimum 2 years experience overseeing the design of restaurants or similar foodservice projects, with

  • knowledge of health code requirements and restaurant infrastructure

  • AutoCAD and sketchup pro. Adobe Creative Suite proficient.

  • 3D modeling pro. Rendering and hand sketching skills, a plus.

  • Able to manage several projects and consultants simultaneously, and work with multiple projects.

  • Strong communication and time management skills.

  • Working knowledge of engineering systems; can successfully engage with professionals in a multi-

  • disciplinary environment.
