We are seeking an Architect or experienced professional seeking licensure to join our Chicago Studio. The Architect/Technical Designer III plays a pivotal role in the realization of architectural projects from ideation to completion and requires a high level of technical expertise, design proficiency, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The Architect/Technical Designer III is responsible for translating conceptual designs into detailed documents, ensuring precision, functionality, and compliance with relevant building codes and regulations. This position is a hybrid role. The salary range is $95-100k based on experience, equity, and a competitive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, life and disability, 401k, and paid time off.

Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and refine design concepts into buildable solutions
Oversee and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Lead the creation of detailed construction documents
Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and project teams to integrate design disciplines
Manage multiple projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards
Serve as a primary client liaison addressing design and technical concerns
Mentor less experienced team members and contribute to professional development initiatives
Required Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture from an accredited school program
8+ years of professional experience, with an expertise in commercial interiors projects
Certification as a licensed professional is preferred but not required
Proficiency in BIM software, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and G-Suite
Strong expertise of construction materials, building codes, and industry regulations
Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy in design documentation
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
Proven track record of project and time management skills, problem solving mindset and organizational abilities, across numerous projects
Membership in relevant professional organizations is a plus
