About the Role
BAGGU is looking for a Full-Time Product Designer to join our Product Design Team in San Francisco. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in growing their product design experience as part of a team focused on bringing to life products that balance value, longevity, function and delight.
As our Product Designer, your primary role will involve crafting in-house samples from either sketches or verbal instructions, as well as developing meticulous tech packs to clearly articulate the construction requirements for our products to our manufacturing partners.
To be successful in this role you will need to possess an advanced knowledge of garment or accessories construction, pattern making and sewing. You’ll also need to be highly organized and comfortable working in a collaborative environment where you will receive and give constructive feedback.
This role will work primarily from our San Francisco Design Studio. We are not considering remote work for this position, but there may be some opportunity for WFH depending on the task at hand, and we're supportive of flexible scheduling.

Conceptualize and design products in line with the Baggu brand aesthetic.
Sew in-house design samples
Technical Design
Factory Communication
Product Development
Spec development samples
Manage packaging and hangtag development
Requirements
3+ years design experience ideally with soft goods, accessories, apparel or fashion
Experience sewing development samples or equivalent professional sewing experience
Must be able to create a sample from a simple design sketch
Strong pattern making and construction knowledge
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator
Ability to identify design challenges and develop creative solutions to address them
Nice to Haves
Backbone or other PLM software
Figma or other collaborative design tools
Asana, Notion or other project management software
Hardware and trim design experience
Packaging and woven tag design for apparel or accessories
