About the Team

Walt Disney Imagineering is the creative force that imagines, designs and brings to life all Disney theme parks, resorts, attractions, and cruise ships worldwide. The Interior Design family is responsible for the design of interior spaces in our theme parks, primarily restaurants, retail, theaters, and attraction queues. They are also responsible for our hotels and cruise ships' design or design oversight. The scope of work encompasses conceptual design through contract documentation and field installation, including specifications of all materials and furnishings. 

The Interior Designer will report to the Manager, Interior Design. 

This is an estimated 30-month Project Hire position without any guarantee of permanent placement.

What You Will Do

  • Support various phases of projects, concept through field installation, by assisting with technical documentation.  

  • Provide design support in the form of graphic illustrations, imagery boards, color renderings, and 3D digital models for concept presentations.

  • Produce research documentation on assigned projects. 

  • Perform various documentation for color & material design and FF&E design and specifications. 

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years of experience and working knowledge in the practice of interior design.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Proven thoughtful design, artistic skills, and professional judgment in problem-solving. 

  • Demonstrated proficiency in REVIT and digital illustration tools such as Creative Suite, Illustrator, and SketchUp. 

Preferred Education

  • A degree from an accredited interior design program (4-year program preferred). 

  • No professional licensure is required but you should be working towards passing the NCIDQ exam for certification or license.
