Senior Wayfinding and Experiential Graphic Designer - Two Twelve (NYC, NY)

Two Twelve is a small 25-person firm, and designers are involved in all phases of the design process. Senior designers are also integral to the training and mentorship of junior designers.
What Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Work closely with the team’s Creative Director to strategize and execute project and deliverable goals
Collaborate with team members, clients, and design consultants to create detailed holistic strategies and drive designs from concept to completion
Distill concepts into narratives and prepare client presentations that advance the project goals
Lead the development and coordination of signage detail drawings, document specifications, and manage the construction phases of work
Take ownership of projects, flag stumbling blocks, and proactively identify and solve problems that arise during project work
Manage deadlines, share and delegate project responsibilities to maintain efficiency
Actively expand and develop skill sets to push the studio’s work in innovative ways
Travel for project meetings, fabrication, and installation review, when required
Minimum Qualifications:
4-year college degree (preferably a BFA in Graphic Design, industrial design, or interior architecture)
5+ years of work experience in experiential graphic design, specifically in signage and wayfinding; proven skills in developing and executing wayfinding strategies, producing design detail drawings and specifications, and managing the construction phases of projects.
Portfolio demonstrating a strong design sensibility, typographic skills, and systems thinking with a least 5 completed EGD projects
High level of experience with a variety of materials/methods required for signage fabrication and installation
Knowledge in national standards and best practices for ADA, fire and building code compliance for signage
A high level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and CAD Tools. Knowledge of SketchUp, Rhino, AutoCAD, Revit, and Sign Agent are a plus

Is detail-oriented and has a high level of organizational skills

Two Twelve is currently working under a hybrid model with employees spending a minimum of 2 days in the office. Additional in-office days are encouraged for tasks that require a high degree of collaboration or access to studio resources. Fully remote positions may be considered for experienced candidates that are able to work east coast hours and are highly proficient with on-line collaboration tools.
