Senior Associate Designer - brooklinen (NYC, NY)
We’re excited to be looking for a Senior Associate Designer to join our team in Dumbo, Brooklyn. Reporting to our Design Director, you’ll support the seasonal development across bedding and bath categories. This role is perfect for you if you’re excited to join our small (but mighty!) What you’ll do
Create CADs for all bedding + bath categories for each seasonal delivery.
Develop and recolor prints, create bed looks, and research construction/finishing techniques.
Assist our Design Director and Senior Color Designer with day-to-day tasks, including supporting new categories, lab dip tracking, sample organization, and presentations.
Maintain design tools, including updating boards, tracking packages, ordering and organizing supplies, updating Tech Pack/PLM, and creating seasonal color cards.
Maintain our print library.
Help to refine and maintain our design product guidelines.
We're looking for someone who brings
3+ years of experience in fashion or home textile design.
Home goods experience is preferred.
A bachelor’s degree in textile design or a related field is preferred.
Ability to create original designs and create designs from inspiration.
Proficient in Adobe Suite.
A strong portfolio of work.
Strong organizational skills.
Proficiency in Google Suite applications and print software is a plus.
Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
A storyteller with the ability to communicate design/color ideas.
Compensation & Benefits
At Brooklinen, our goal is to offer a competitive total compensation package which we determine based on specific market data taking into account our company size, stage, industry, and location. The base salary range for this role is between $70K - $85K.
Beyond base salary, we contribute significantly to offset the cost of health benefits, provide a financial stipend through Carrot Fertility to help with the costs associated with the fertility journey, offer a 401K with a 4% Safe Harbour match, have commuter benefits, and also provide a yearly product allowance.
We have 14 weeks of 100% paid parental leave for all new parents, year-long Summer Fridays, a workday that starts at 10 am, four weeks of vacation, and a one-month paid sabbatical at your 5th anniversary.
