PHOTOGRAPHER/VIDEOGRAPHER - MODERN ANIMAL (CULVER CITY, CA)
Modern Animal is seeking a talented and experienced Videographer with a strong focus on social media content creation. This role will be instrumental in enhancing our brand's online presence and increasing engagement with our growing community of both pet owners and veterinary professionals. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, capturing, and editing captivating video and photo content that showcases the expertise, care, and personality of our veterinary team.

The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller who possesses exceptional technical videography and photography skills, a keen eye for detail, and a finger on the pulse of culture. This role will report to the Creative and Content Manager and will closely partner with members of the Marketing, People, and Veterinary teams to develop engaging, informative, and shareable content that amplifies all that makes Modern Animal special.
This role is based in Los Angeles, and requires the ability to regularly travel to local clinics, and to other regions as we expand.
In this role you will:
Create entertaining and engaging video and photographic content for Modern Animal’s key brand channels (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn) that aligns with our overall brand strategy.
Collaborate with members of the marketing team and its cross-functional partners to develop creative concepts and ideas for videos.
Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality videos that effectively convey Modern Animal’s core message.
Stay up to date on the latest trends and best practices in social media video production and incorporate them into the company's strategy.
Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure a consistent flow of video content on the company's social media channels.
Monitor social media engagement and feedback to assess the effectiveness of video content and make improvements as necessary.
Work with other team members, such as graphic designers and copywriters, to ensure cohesive and effective creative executions.
Manage video production budgets and work within established financial guidelines.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree in film production, communications, marketing, or a related field preferred.
3-5 years of experience in video production, preferably in a social media or digital marketing context.
A reel / portfolio of work that demonstrates proficiency in video production, photography, storytelling, and social media marketing.
Expertise in video and photo editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro
Advanced proficiency in operating video production equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
A deep understanding of social media platforms, including their algorithms, trends, and best practices and a passion for staying up to date on the latest video production trends, techniques, and equipment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and consistently meet deadlines.

The pay range for this position is $79,000 - $100,000 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and equity grant units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the California Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on geographic location.
