Pasta Teacher - EVÈNTO (NYC, NY)
This role entails a series of responsibilities that include maintaining and managing a variety of processes as well as detail oriented tasks to ensure EVENTO experiences meet the high level of delivery we have become known for. All management responsibilities and activities are under the supervision of leadership and must meet the vision they have set out. This position includes both people and process management and requires someone who has both interpersonal and self-management skills. The person who fills this role must have the ability to adapt and work in a fast paced environment.
Things you’ll bring to the table
1+ year of experience with fresh pasta making in a professional environment
Understanding of Italian culinary practices and specialties from various regions
High energy, fun outgoing personality to enhance the experience of the guests
Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations (NYC Food Handlers Certificate preferred)
3+ years working in a hospitality setting (restaurant, events, hotel, etc.)
2+ years managing staff in a hospitality environment
Highly detail oriented
Guest relations experience
Ability to communicate and provide expert services to guests
Ability to train and manage all FOH staff on EVENTO preparation and procedure
Understanding of fine dining etiquette and service standards
Ability to understand event concepts and logistics delivery
Flexibility to work nights and weekends
What you’ll be doing
Leading Evento’s pasta making experiences as the head instructor and entertainer
Entertain guests to make sure the “party where you happen to make pasta” vibe is achieved
In charge of all FOH staff during events to ensure successful event delivery
Event host, meaning client point of contact and “captain” for staff
FOH staff training : table set up, proper serving, proper bussing, event flow (pizza,pasta, dinners, pop up events etc)
Help manage staff during events, along with chef/founders, culinary director, and hospitality consultant
Tracking inventory to ensure Evento has adequate supplies of key ingredients
Ensuring that the event venue is ready for each event at least 30 minutes prior to the event start time
Write detailed reports following events to maintain event integrity and troubleshoot issues
General Maintenance/overlooking smooth flow of operations for on and offsite events
Maintenance of good spirits within the team via providing a safe space for conversation
Guest relations, leading communications during event to ensure guests are pleased and event meets expectations
Keep up customer satisfaction via successful preparation, organization and conduct of emotionally positive events, entertainment and fun.
