Associate Creative Director - Book of the Month (NYC, NY)

Summary:

Book of the Month is looking for a highly iterative and collaborative Associate Creative Director to manage our Creative work and production from brief through execution in order to help drive business growth. Our ideal candidate is either a hands on and talented Copywriter or Designer, and has a desire to manage across creative disciplines to help a brand be successful.

What You’ll Do…

  • Lead the creation of brand and performance marketing assets, including video, that drive incremental growth.

  • Act as lead and principal Copywriter or Designer and maintain and deliver our brand voice.

  • Oversee the creation of strong visual designs for relevant campaign work across landing pages, emails, and advertising assets.

  • Ensure the Creative team delivers high quality creative assets on time.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to maintain our brand book and ensure consistency across channels and platforms.

About You…

  • 5+ years of experience consisting of the following: (1) multiple years as a copywriter or designer for a consumer brand, (2) experience developing campaign concepts, and (3) experience building landing pages, ads, and other assets in-house at a DTC company.

  • If you have a copy background: brilliant creative writing in a direct-to-consumer advertising context. If you have a design background: experience designing beautiful and visually engaging creative with a desire to drive business outcomes through design.

  • This is your craft and you take it seriously – always looking for ways to practice, improve, and learn.

  • Avid consumer of culture and media, and active social media content creator.

  • Experienced creative generalist with a sophisticated understanding of web and graphic design, fluency with design, art, photography, copy, and/or video.

  • Extremely well-organized and has excellent time management skills.

  • You like to iterate to achieve the best outcomes.

  • Comfortable working under pressure and working irregular hours when needed.

  • Thrive in situations with ambiguity and complexity.

  • You are career-oriented and interested in driving business results.

  • You enjoy reading new release fiction.

Salary Range:

$100,000 - $150,000
