California: $100,400 to $224,600

Colorado: $100,400 to 194,100

New York City: $116,300 to $224,600

Washington: $107,100 to $206,700

The work

We’re looking for a Metaverse Continuum Design Researcher inspired to be at the forefront of a new era of digital change—someone who is driven to help our clients build new realities that generate value in the short and long term. In this purpose-driven role, you'll play two key roles. The first is understanding how users shop, move, and interact with each other and experiences in the Metaverse. The second will be to apply that knowledge to the design phase of client projects to drive value while making recommendations for new research tools to support future growth—all while collaborating Metaverse leaders, technologists and creatives all collaborating to design, execute and accelerate our clients’ Metaverse journeys.

In this role you will:

  1. Be required to understand which methodologies are best to answer different client needs and questions in different situations

  2. Ensure the qualitative work is grounded in a deep and contextual understanding of what matters to our individual clients

  3. Ensure the quantitative work is empirical by nature and obtains statistical rigor when understanding people’s behaviors and attitudes

  4. Support and help lead design research activities including research planning, fieldwork execution, analysis, synthesis, research story, and related deliverables

  5. Define design research plans based on relevant research and business objectives

  6. Support and help lead design research activities at the project level

  7. Evaluate and develop new research tools for the team

  8. Help the Metaverse team understand how users are interacting within environments and make recommendations based on those interactions

Here’s What You’ll Need

  1. Minimum 5 years’ experience in conducting research and participating in all aspects of design research—qualitatively and quantitatively, including planning, executing, analysis, synthesis, deliverable creation

  2. Minimum 3 years’ experience leading a team in this space that has been working on large projects

  3. Minimum 3 years’ experience developing new research design methodologies, tools, and technologies

Bonus points if you have

  1. Master’s degree or 18 years’ equivalent experience in Design Research or a human behavior related field such as Psychology, Cognitive Science, Sociology, Anthropology, Political Science or similar fields requiring research

  2. Working Knowledge of “Futuring” methodology

  3. Working knowledge of all aspects of research, including recruiting processes, scheduling and logistics, protocol development, analysis and framework development, video compilations and research deliverables

  4. Qualitative research experience that may include interviewing, moderating, ethnographic research, contextual interviews, UX/UI research, field studies

  5. Quantitative research experience that may include survey research, synthesizing/analyzing large-scale data, natural language processing corpora or other large text, or experimental design

  6. Familiarity with online research tools

  7. Ability to communicate with clients and partners about research methodology

Travel
