CMF Designer, Fitbit - Google (San Fransisco, CA)
As a CMF Designer, you will look for ways to innovate within materials and color. You will work closely with the product managers and development engineers throughout the entire production cycle. You will work on yearly trend forecasts, develop concepts, and create your designs.
In this role, you will work on a range of programs on multiple levels. You will be a lead designer on roadmap programs and you will develop fashionable and innovative accessories. You will partner with colleagues across Fitbit and with partners.

Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, a related design field, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with color, material, and finish (CMF).
Experience with material technology and manufacturing processes.
Portfolio that demonstrates color, material, and finish (CMF) applied to product categories with story/rationale.
Preferred qualifications:
Ability to develop innovative color, material, and finish (CMF) designs with manufacturing processes.
Ability to work within constraints and think creatively to create new designs.
Ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team environment.
Ability to develop a design (e.g., proportions, colors, forms, typographies, presentations, functionality, fashion, ergonomics, etc.).
Excellent skills in KeyShot, contemporary 2D software, and presentation tools.

Responsibilities
Manage external consultants and resources to provide the team with influences and make it relevant to the brand/current roadmap.
Deliver all of CMF assets to the Instructional Designer (ID) team.
Create, collaborate, and present product concepts, CMF stories, palette, and documentation with industrial designers, CMF peers, design executives, and customers.
Execute products while working directly with factories and vendors.
