3D Modeler - Thuma (San Fransisco, CA)

As a 3D Modeler and CG Artist your role will be both highly creative and technical. You'll be working closely with the Sr. Director of Product & Industrial Design to develop high fidelity 3D models and photorealistic 3D renderings to use across our brand marketing channels. You have comprehensive experience and knowledge in the leading professional 3D modeling, rendering, image and video editing programs. We are looking for someone who is self motivated, able to work within tight deadlines, is creative, and a great technical problem solver.  

$90,000 - $120,000 a year

While Thuma is based in San Francisco, our team is spread across the country. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in office at our San Francisco Headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Produce high fidelity complex 3D models including soft goods

    • 3D render photorealistic images and animations in line with the brand creative direction

    • Help build post production workflows 

    • Support storyboarding product imagery

    • Responsible for executing the transition of web imagery to renderings to enhance the brand identity of Thuma

What You'll Need:

    • Portfolio featuring world-class 3D modeling and rendering works 

    • 4-7 years experience as a 3D Modeler and/or CG Artist

    • Advanced 3D modeling skills in programs such as Rhino, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Alias, Blender, Cinema 4D 

    • Deep understanding of KeyShot and various rendering programs like V-Ray, Octane, Corona 

    • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite

    • Compositing, editing, and color correction skills

    • Experience working on an Apple or PC computer and with a render farm 

    • Ability to work to a brief and under the direction of Designers, meeting deadlines and keeping within the scope of projects

    • Experience running and leading end to end 3D and 2D production workflows and strong accuracy in assessing project turnaround time

$90,000 - $120,000 a year
