Beck seeks a Design Technology Specialist to join our Virtual Building Group, where integration and innovation are at the core of our work. In this role, you’ll play a critical role in revolutionizing the industry, collaborating with our Integrated Project Teams to implement advanced solutions that unify design, estimation, and construction. The job involves the following essential functions:
What You Will Do
Promote and implement Beck’s BIM Best Practices.
Initiate new projects, including models and BIM Execution Plans.
Manage models through all project phases (Conceptual Design to Construction).
Provide targeted training and support for individuals and project teams on Revit and related software.
Engage directly in architectural and integrated project work.
Create and customize project-specific content.
Seek innovative opportunities to improve and refine design workflows to increase efficiency.
Provide Revit and BIM-related modeling and production solutions.
Promote exploring and implementing emerging technologies to drive impactful project outcomes.
Areas Of Knowledge & Expertise
Proficiency with Coordination platforms and tools (Autodesk Construction Cloud, Plannerly).
Understanding of interoperability between Revit and related platforms.
Experience with computational design or programming platforms.
Familiarity with simulation and visualization tools.
Areas Of Innovation & Opportunity:
Explore and develop computational design, generative design, and predictive analytics tools to enhance project efficiency and delivery.
Implement these tools to create tailored solutions for project teams, boosting productivity, reducing repetitive tasks, and ensuring models' overall health and integrity.
Leverage data-driven insights from project models and information to develop workflows that enhance decision-making and lead to practical solutions implemented on projects.
You also meet the following requirements:
(4) years of professional experience working in the AEC industry
(4) year degree in architecture, engineering, construction, or similar. Applicants with a (2) year degree or no college experience may be considered given certifications or appropriate work experience.
