Join IA as a key member of a collaborative team of multi-disciplinary designers. This role involves strategic planning for user experience and wayfinding methodologies, developing comprehensive strategies, programming signage locations and messages, and supporting project fabrication oversight. Ideal candidates will possess experience in wayfinding and environmental graphic design (EGD), fostering trust among teammates and clients, demonstrating attention to detail, and effectively communicating ideas.



Key Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative user experience and wayfinding strategies, integrating effective methodologies.

  • Program signage locations and messages utilizing Sign Agent.

  • Create wayfinding methodologies and programming in alignment with design objectives.

  • Conduct site visits to evaluate user experience and document existing conditions.

  • Engage in the discovery process through work sessions and focus group activities with project participants.

  • Conduct iterative studies to assess design effectiveness in meeting functional needs.

  • Assist in creating visualizations that clearly convey project concepts.

  • Lead and participate in internal planning sessions and design critiques.

  • Facilitate client reviews and collaborative work sessions, interfacing with project participants and partners.

  • Exhibit leadership within the studio/team environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Background in environmental/experiential graphic design, wayfinding, industrial design, interior design, or architecture.

  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated, with strong strategic thinking capabilities.

  • Appreciation for a thorough design process.

  • Strong work ethic with effective management of the creative process.

  • Ability to thrive in a multi-project environment, taking direction from various sources and prioritizing tasks effectively.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Skilled at building relationships and earning the trust of clients, partners, and colleagues.

  • Outstanding organizational skills and keen attention to detail, with a passion for improving systems as IA grows and evolves.

  • Proficient in Google Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, knowledge of 3D software and Revit is a plus.
