Emerging Issues Program Manager - Autodesk (Various Location)
Position Overview
Autodesk is seeking an experienced program manager to oversee the company’s Emerging Issues Response Program. The company’s response to social, public policy, and emerging issues (collectively “Emerging Issues”) are managed and executed by a cross-functional working group who analyzes company impact, defines policy /response, and crafts necessary engagement strategy.
The Emerging Issues Program Manager will identify those social, public policy, and emerging issues which are of greatest concern to the company, and develop, maintain, and execute enterprise-wide response plans. This position is responsible for not only facilitating the company’s response to Emerging Issues, but also training program stakeholders on decision making processes, engaging in cross-functional discussions, rationalizing various perspectives, assessing reputational risk internally & externally, and facilitating periodic meetings to align on the company’s positions. This individual will maintain a governance framework that is consistent with industry best practices and is developed in-line with the company’s social and public policy posture, taking into account Autodesk’s values.
The Emerging Issues Response Program Manager will work closely with many Autodesk teams, including Government Affairs & Public Policy, Diversity & Belonging, Global Benefits, People Experience, Employee Relations, Internal and External Communications, Brand, Enterprise Risk Management, Crisis Management, Impact & Foundation, etc. This position reports to Autodesk’s Senior Director of Risk & Resiliency.

Responsibilities
Serve as the company’s primary internal contact for Emerging Issues.
Maintain and enhance processes to identify, monitor, and provide visibility on social, public policy, and emerging issues.
Assist in identifying and triaging potential emerging issues requiring response with other stakeholders.
Manage multiple projects, from initial issue identification through finalization of policies/communications.
Develop and maintain project schedules, complete status reports, own deliverables (including driving stakeholder review/approval of artifacts developed by the program), remove roadblocks, etc.
Create strong formal and informal networks with cross-functional partners to drive engagement, ensure changes are understood & accepted across the organization, and guarantee program sustainability.
Keep executive sponsors / stakeholders informed via status presentations as well as appropriate escalations.
Coordinate, facilitate, and document centralized exercises & training, including tracking of lessons learned to improve responses.
On an as-needed basis, support other projects and initiatives that are managed by the Risk & Resiliency team, including but not limited to Business Continuity planning and Crisis Response.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
5+ years of overall business experience with experience in project or program administration & management.
Skilled at developing and maintaining strong internal relationships and managing projects & programs against timelines through to completion.
Adept at collaborating within a highly matrixed, cross-geo, cross-functional environment.
Experience facilitating workshops or team discussions with the outcome of alignment and actionable next steps.
Preferred Qualifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) certification.
Prior experience with reputational risk, either as a program manager or subject matter expert.
Prior experience with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion matters, either as a program manager or subject matter expert.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a global team environment.
Ability to work with ambiguity and agility in a fast-changing environment.

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $105,300 and $170,280. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
