Infographic/Mapping Designer - Woolpert (Columbus, OH)
Overview
Woolpert is currently seeking an infographic designer responsible for the design and production of infographics and educational maps for internal communications, client deliverables, and corporate marketing materials. Candidates for this role must be visual storytellers, well versed in translating complex concepts and varied datasets into clear, eye-catching, and communicative graphics. These materials can take the form of print, digital, and multimedia graphics. Priority will be given to candidates with a proven track record of quick-turnaround graphic development, mapping, and/or grant development.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with various internal subject matter experts and external clients to identify infographic needs, develop concepts, and refine designs.
Identify, address, and resolve any project issues impacting project goals, objectives, and/or client satisfaction.
Work with MarCom team members to drive graphic design workload, using plans, schedules, and estimates as needed.
Negotiate scope of work and pricing as necessary to produce client work.
Align all design materials with the firm’s brand standards and ADA 508 compliance standards.
Serve as a subject matter expert and/or primary point of contact for a specific technical skill or project type.
Additional Duties:
As needed, support MarCom design needs with skills such as document layout, campaign ideation, peer review, PowerPoint formatting, webpage development, video production, etc.
Assist marketing and/or proposal managers with developing priority pursuit-related materials.
Coordinate with other MarCom staff on special projects and firmwide and department-related initiatives.
Cross-train to meet all department competencies.
Qualifications
Must have a BA/BS in graphic design, journalism, marketing, GIS, or a related field and four years related experience, or eight years related experience.
Must be proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft 365. Experience with Esri ArcGIS is recommended but not required.
Must be able to travel up to 10%.
Must be mentally and physically capable of performing all essential duties required of the position.
Must be able to function efficiently and consistently in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to handle a variety of competing job tasks.
Must have strong conceptual and creative abilities.
Must be highly skilled in graphic design principles (layout, color, etc.).
Must be able to review documents for grammar corrections and compliance with company standards.
Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Must have strong organizational skills; keen attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through; and a sense of urgency.
Must be able to work equally well with all levels of management, clients, and employees.
Must have above average verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external relationships.
Resulting Physical Qualifications:
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
Must be able to operate and manipulate standard office equipment.
Must be able to occasionally reach, bend, climb and/or balance, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch.
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
