ABOUT THIS ROLE

As the Director, Emerging Creator Programs, you will oversee this unified, global initiative to amplify underrepresented voices, invest in the next generation of storytellers and content creators, and lead innovative educational programs that empower creators all over the world. You will drive Audible's creator development strategy and manage the portfolio of creator-focused programs. You will bring a combination of strategic thinking, operational excellence, passion for results, and unwavering commitment to celebrating the full spectrum of the human experience. You will be imbedded within the Content org and will partner closely with Audible’s Global Center for Urban Innovation and Creator & Brand Marketing teams.

As part of our longstanding mission to collaborate with emerging creators, we’ve launched several successful initiatives (including Audible’s Podcast Development Program and Indigenous Writers’ Circle) that allow us to find fresh voices and give them the opportunity to reach millions of listeners. All existing and future efforts to support the creator community will come together under a unified, to-be-launched program portfolio.

As a Director of Emerging Creator Programs, you will...

  • Lead Audible’s holistic strategy for supporting emerging creators by overseeing a global network of development programs and ensuring key stakeholder buy-in across Audible

  • Perform initial audit and ongoing assessment of Audible’s existing creator development programs to identify alignment opportunities and best practices

  • Support development of educational program designs and curricula to maximize impact of existing programs and identify opportunities for new initiatives that support the growth of emerging creators from underrepresented across across Audible’s worldwide hubs

  • Collaborate with individual program leads to develop equitable and balanced criteria for evaluating potential content projects based on their appeal to Audible’s existing and prospective customers

  • Collaborate with Marketing to launch creator engagement opportunities that strengthen and build our brand identity through bespoke events and experiences

  • Establish and track success metrics that evaluate Audible’s progress towards its primary objectives of supporting and elevating emerging creators of diverse backgrounds, meaningfully impacting the audio industry, and leveraging Audible’s brand to drive awareness of our creator development programs

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (education, program management, media, marketing, publishing, or communications)

  • 5+ years of related work experience with education and training in the media, arts, content, or entertainment industries

  • Experience designing and implementing education, workforce development, and/or training programs

  • Experience utilizing MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Passion for audio content and transformative storytelling

  • Experience optimizing educational program designs and operational processes to drive efficiencies

  • Experience working in a highly matrixed organization where cross-functional collaboration is required to drive projects forward

  • Experience setting concrete objectives and KPIs and driving concrete results

  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide array of stakeholders both internally and externally

  • Experience serving as a brand representative on panels or as part of PR opportunities
