About The Role:

Homebound’s product organization is growing, and we’re seeking a Staff Product Manager with a proven track record of delivering value with innovative solutions to complex problems.  We’re looking for somebody that is able to get up to speed quickly and have an immediate impact on our business. In this role, you will own a significant portion of the core platform and drive significant, company-wide KPIs.

You will partner closely with design, engineering, and our machine learning teams to build next generation connected workflows across homeowners, architects, designers, estimators, construction superintendents, and trade partners. We are looking for someone who embodies our values of being one team that executes relentlessly to build what has never been built before: a technology-enabled, scaled-up home builder.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver on cutting-edge, user-centric solutions that optimize residential construction workflows, integrating human expertise with technology to deliver exceptional user experiences

  • Define and communicate a comprehensive vision for improving our fully connected homebuilding platform, fostering alignment across cross-functional teams and translating that vision into a prioritized roadmap

  • Gather technical requirements from internal and external stakeholders — understanding the “why” behind the “what” people are asking for

  • Make hard, high-stakes trade-offs between features, choosing those that are most likely to ensure that both business goals and user needs are met

  • Identify product gaps and gather product requirements through internal research, market research, customer research, and data analysis

  • Develop and maintain product specifications, user stories, and use cases to guide the design and development teams in building the product

What You'll Bring:

  • 7+ years experience in product management or product development

  • 3+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects

  • Demonstrated success at driving cross company initiatives in both startup and corporate environments

  • Track record of defining, building and launching innovative customer-facing features that drive internal KPIs, reduce customer pain points and improve efficiency

  • You’ve often been described as a “detail-oriented person” and have a knack for clear communication, formatted spreadsheets, and collaboration tools

  • Your strong quantitative skills allow you to ask and answer questions about the business, understand the impact of an initiative/product, and report on results

  • You’re a self-starter who sets ambitious goals and aims to surpass them. A focused, disciplined, and capable individual who effectively self-manages across multiple priorities

  • Technical depth that allows you to communicate with, understand, and earn the respect of world-class engineers

  • Business savvy enough with the ability to break down complex initiatives to interface with all levels and disciplines within the organization

  • Proven ability to lead in ambiguous environments, aligning across functions, teams, and orgs to deliver on time in a highly collaborative environment

  • Willing to travel once a month for in-person working sessions

Nice to haves:

  • Direct experience or passion for residential construction workflows and methodologies

  • Experience with applying AI/ML techniques to solve real world problems
