The Role: Project Designer
This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you’ll oversee urban infrastructure projects from start to finish. You’ll be responsible for design, permitting, construction coordination, and commissioning, working closely with city officials, contractors, and utilities to bring innovative solutions to life.
Who You Are:
A licensed Architect or Professional Engineer (preferred) with 10+ years of experience in urban design, architecture, or civil engineering
Experienced in complex, real-world urban projects, ideally those involving public rights-of-way
Skilled at navigating building codes, zoning laws, and permitting processes
Proficient with industry tools like AutoCAD & Bluebeam and comfortable working with contractors, trades, and city agencies
A strong communicator who thrives in fast-moving, multi-stakeholder environments
Experienced in site evaluation, permitting, utility coordination, and managing subcontractors for construction projects
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct remote property evaluations using mapping tools and perform on-site assessments to coordinate installations
Act as the technical liaison for property owners, ensuring alignment with contract terms and business models
Develop and manage high-level site plans, permit set templates, and coordination with civil engineers
Oversee the full installation process, from securing bids and scheduling work to utility coordination and logistics
Standardize design documentation, permit drawings, and installation manuals to streamline deployments
Represent the company at public meetings, hearings, and industry events
