3D Environment Artist - T3 Expo (Boston, MA)
Job Description
T3 Expo’s 3D Environmental (3DE) design team is responsible for the successful development of various experiential concepts for events, exhibits and other special projects. Our 3D environmental designers are a critical part of the event design, planning and production process. They are expected to be proactive, out of the box thinkers and problem solvers. They are positioned and empowered to help our clients and their sponsors feel that T3 Expo (T3) has their needs covered; Customer experience is a critical part of the T3 Expo strategy. The team shall be led by the Senior Manager, 3D Environmental Design, who will report to the Chief Creative & Design Officer.
Duties and Responsibilities
You will create mood boards, sketches, 3D conceptual designs, models and renderings for trade shows, corporate events, exhibits, and other projects. This role will require working directly with customers, agencies, T3 sales, account managers, finance, CAD floor plan design, CAD detail design, graphic design, operations, customer care, and production on all aspects of 3D environmental design.
Day-to-day details/responsibilities
Understand the customer’s needs
Conduct discovery with sales, AE's, customers and agencies to determine the appropriate type of 3DE design engagement (e.g. none, minimal, moderate, substantial, comprehensive)
Act as a liaison, provide product/services information, answer questions, and resolve any emerging problems that our customers might face with accuracy and efficiency
Fulfill requests for design concepts and revisions as required to garner client approval
Meet with customers, agencies and internal marketing departments as needed
Actively participate in Internal meetings with supporting teams to ensure our customers' voices are being heard
Contribute to our culture to ensure we’re competitive and aligned with our mission of a customer-centric environment that delights clients, anticipates needs, and is designed to readily expand our services
Focus on the customers’ needs, whether training on processes or obtaining feedback from our clients to improve service delivery
Coordinate prototypes and structural builds with T3 production mgr. as needed
Product and Process
Work directly with AE's, CAD detail, operations, and production on all aspects of environmental design
Provide design spec's (e.g. dimensions, materials, finishes, build. etc.) to production following final client approval
Generate designs as required in accordance with work orders

Proficient in 3DS Max, Revit, Sketchup, Vectorworks, Lightwave
Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat
Proficient in G-Suite including Docs, Sheets, Chat, Drive, Calendar, Mail, and Meet
Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associates degree from an accredited college or university with two (2) years of related experience and/or training in 3D design for trade shows/corporate events, exhibits; or equivalent combination of education and experience
1-3 years 3D design experience required.
Ability to drive productivity by remaining focused and using time efficiently. Prioritizing work effectively.
Demonstrated desire to continuously improve customer experience, quality and efficiency
Customer service experience required
Proven track record of being dependable and flexible, able to respond to changing requirements with tight deadlines in a fast paced, high volume production environment.
