About the Role & Team

The WDI Technology Studio is an embedded product and technology team, looking for a Product Manager, Staff to join our teams working on WDI’s core platforms. This individual will be responsible for driving build & buy product development efforts within core platforms, which includes products focused on data mediation, workflow, data exchange, telemetry, and ID/access management. This person will be exposed to the breadth of how Walt Disney Imagineering operates, to best make strong product decisions related to taxonomies and ontologies, project phases and sequencing, and data.

What You Will Do

  • We drive vision, prioritization, delivery, and sustainment decisions for a subset of internal WDI products, and collaborate with peer leaders across software engineering, product design, project management, project technology integration, finance and legal.

  • We partner and advocate for collaborators engaged with our core platforms.

  • We drive epic/sprint planning, perform user research, author user stories, manage backlogs!

  • Act as primary domain expert for a given set of products.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 6+ years in software product management competence and/or strong technical expertise in platform-based systems.

  • Experience developing and launching B2B products and/or internal enterprise products from 0-1.

  • Experience in web development, microservices, serverless architecture.

  • Experience with interoperability services and related technologies.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentational communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background within Building Information Management (BIM), Architecture-Engineering-Construction (AEC), content, media operations, gaming, Visual Effects (VFX), or animation companies.

  • Familiarity and/or experience with the Autodesk AEC suite.

  • Strong understanding of 3D geometry data structures

  • Strong understanding of relational database design

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent experience. Advanced degrees preferred.
