CBRE Design Collective is seeking a Experiential Studio Director (EGD) with experience in the following markets: 

  • Corporate (preferred) 

  • Retail (desired) 

  • Hospitality (desired) 

 

This team member is passionate about design and always looking to push their skills to the next level. They have a range of both creative and technical experience, are a highly motivated problem solver, and are able to manage a diverse project load and client base.  

Location:

This position can be located in any one of our studios - Atlanta, Denver, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, Philadelphia, New York, or San Francisco. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Design and Execution: 

  • Conceptualize and develop custom environmental graphics, including wayfinding, wallcoverings, large format prints, and 3D installations. 

  • Create 2D and 3D digital designs to convey concepts to clients. 

  • Modify and refine designs to conform to client specifications, budget, and fabrication limitations. 

  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure consistency and quality across all projects. 

  • Project Management: 

  • Identify and prepare project proposals and add services with review from studio and project leadership. 

  • Interpret contracts and organize staffing/work plans to provide the required scope of work. 

  • Oversee project budgets and timelines. 

  • Manage client relationships and ensure their satisfaction throughout the project. 

  • Communication and Presentation: 

  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, understanding their existing branding and cultures to develop purposeful designs. 

  • Present design concepts and proposals to clients, gaining feedback and consensus. 

  • Build and maintain vendor communications to ensure the execution of designs and meet overall project objectives. 

  • Technical Expertise: 

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dimension). 

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). 

  • Experience with 3D computer modeling and rendering software (SketchUp, Revit, or similar). 

  • Strong understanding of industry standards and drawing documentation methods. 

  • Clear understanding and knowledge of substrates to secure proper 2D and 3D specifications for the project, budget, and space. 

  • Graphic application experience with a variety of substrate mediums, including vinyl applied to gypsum wallboard, acrylic, glass, and fabric. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, industrial design, or a related field from an accredited college or university. 

  • 13+ years of professional experience in graphic design, with 7+ years of experience in environmental graphic design. 

  • Experience with print production and graphic data visualization. 

  • Strong background developing brand strategy and/or environmental brand standard playbooks. 

  • Experience designing signage and wayfinding systems is a plus. 

  • General field understanding of printing techniques, printer types, and potential substrate issues. 

  • Working knowledge of industry standards and drawing documentation methods. 

  • Graphic presentation and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas. 

  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
