Project Manager, Event Experience and Design - U.S. Chamber of Commerce (Washington D.C.)

The Project Manager, Event Experience and Design, is responsible for the tracking, organizing, and execution of event creative. You will work as part of the experiential design team to launch event and environmental projects and set project milestones in coordination with internal clients, graphic designers, video producers, event strategists, and print and fabrication vendors to keep projects on time and within budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and coordinate multiple projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.

  • Work with clients and stakeholders to gather content. 

  • Work with internal printshop and external vendors to quality control event materials and manage timelines.

  • Manage projects, tasks, and schedules using our project management system – Monday.com.

  • Communicate project status to stakeholders and key project participants.

  • Work closely with the Experiential Design Director to facilitate and encourage team collaboration to ensure projects are completed successfully.

  • Delegate work to team members based on skills and expertise

  • Develop cost estimates and project plans

  • Create project reports to the head of creative and director of project management. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrable problem-solving project management experience and skills

  • Ability to drive conversations with clients toward creative needs

  • Experience with live and virtual event design, environmental projects, digital marketing, and print design. 

  • Strong organizational, time management, and verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Experience in Project Management applications

  • Working knowledge of design specifications across digital, video, and print, including large-format printing. 

  • Experience with various materials, printing methods, and fabrication techniques. 

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and space planning or rendering software (CAD, Sketchup, or similar) preferred

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years project management experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project coordination for event design, environmental design, or creative production

  • Project Management Certified preferred but not required
