Director of Design - TOPO (Austin, TX)
As the Director of Design, you will manage the architecture and design process for development projects across the TOPO portfolio. Working cross functionally with internal and external teams, your strong design viewpoint, guidance, and expertise will be used to establish and manage processes while making sure proper resources are accessible. In this role, you will foster an environment of sustained creativity, brand awareness, positivity, and professional growth that contributes to our success. This role reports to the VP of Development and works closely with the Founder/Principal. Salary is expected as $175,000.

What you’ll do
Oversee all architectural and design functions across the organization including, but not limited to, master planning, concept design, building architecture, signage, tenant improvement, test fits, landscape, and design guidelines.
Push boundaries on the use of new and unexpected materials in creative applications while considering sustainability and affordability for our tenants.
Collaborate with third party designers and architects while developing and managing project plans that outline timelines and milestones.
Review and negotiate design related vendor contracts.
Be a guiding internal resource to our construction team to help us push the limits on using innovative materials and techniques.
Continuously seek innovative ideas to improve our design and approach.
Assist in the review of documents regarding lease compliance and compile construction and design related plans for tenant spaces.
Who you are
You have a strong design perspective and endless curiosity of design.
You have extensive architecture/design management experience.
You have expert knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp as well as other related software.
You understand local compliance codes and standards.
You are a strategic thinker with a keen understanding of value creation.

You are adaptable and able to manage changing priorities and deadlines.
