Presentation Designer - McCann Worldgroup (NYC, NY)
Summary
The McCann Worldgroup Presentation Designer is the critical role responsible for communicating McCann Worldgroup ideas and thought leadership to the world in
clear, compelling, memorable, and beautiful ways. This person must be able to hear a narrative from a presenter, analyze and understand it, and re-imagine that
narrative in order to make it more effective at communicating to a larger audience. The McCann Worldgroup Presentation Designer must be able to exploit design theory in
order to control an audience’s attention and understanding of a presentation.
Responsibilities
1. (Re)Interpret narratives, speeches, and/or other presentations in order to build a clearer, more seamless, more cohesive presentation.
2. Design to control audience’s attention and support the presenter.
3. Create and/or use all available mechanisms to make a compelling, visually stimulating presentation (photo-realistic mockups, animations, builds, transitions, iconography, etc.).
4. Apply the fundamentals of story structure to presentations.
5. Champion the McCann Worldgroup brand in presentation visuals. Balance McCann Worldgroup brand visuals with client brand visuals as required.
6. Advise and assist presenters on their narratives both from a storytelling perspective and a visual perspective.
7. Prepare presenters with hardware and software needs.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in an art, design, and/or visual communication.
3–5 years of design and storytelling experience.
Proven understanding of composition, typography, and layout.
Proven history of fostering positive professional relationships.
Ability to work well with C-suite executives.
Courage to defend creative and design decisions.
Ability to meet deadlines on multiple projects under extreme pace and pressure.
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud.
Expert knowledge of Apple Keynote AND Microsoft PowerPoint.
Be naturally curious with a wide variety of interests and passions.
Have a critical eye for detail.
Ability to balance speed and creativity.
