Principal Visual Design Strategist, Events - Intuit (Mountain View and San Diego, CA)

Overview

As a Principal Design Strategist you’ll be joining a team consisting of cross-disciplinary creatives as an expert in visual design along with a team of motion, experiential, and content designers who raise the bar on end-to-end experiences across multiple disciplines. You’ll combine your love of deep design craft with end to end design vision, through all phases of the design cycle. The Design Strategist reports to the Design Group Manager.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years as a visual storytelling individual contributor in an agency or corporate environment.

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and Google.

  • BA/BS degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial)

  • Mastery in collaborating, negotiating, communicating, and presenting and a strong online portfolio to prove it all.

  • Presentation design experience a plus (Keynote, PowerPoint and Google Slides).

  • Based on strong conceptual thinking, establish and execute compelling event campaign directions.

  • Produce cutting edge creative work; with a master-level understanding of design, including typography and layout.

  • Understand the business and communication objectives, goals and challenges, and use them as a guide through projects.

  • Communicate concepts to managers and stakeholders and iterate on designs/experiences quickly.

  • Manage and prioritize a workload of multiple work streams from concept to completion.

How You Will Lead

  • Lead design for comms/events collateral; responsible for how we bring our brand to life through various channels.

  • Based on strong conceptual thinking, establish and execute compelling visual design directions.

  • Produce cutting edge creative work; with a master-level understanding of design, including typography and layout.

  • Understand the business and communication objectives, goals and challenges, and use them as a guide through projects.

  • Communicate concepts and strategy to managers and stakeholders and iterate on designs/experiences quickly.

  • Manage and prioritize a workload of multiple work streams from concept to completion.

  • Share knowledge, experience, and skills with other staff; work with design counterparts to ensure continuity across initiatives.
